Come meet my horses

rosie for flyer 2.jpgRosa Roca's Run For The Roses

This pretty little AMHR mare is about 35" tall, a bright red sorrel with four white socks and a bald face, and she carries the splash overo gene and possibly other overo genes, as well. I've shown her in driving, liberty, and color, and hope to show her again in 2010 if I have room on the trailer for her. She's a sweet lady and is making a wonderful show mare.

Not for sale at this time.

desi.jpgRosa Roca's Designed In Color

Desi is Rosie's full brother. This nice bay gelding has four white socks and a bald face like his sister. He's well-started in driving and will hopefully finish his training this year so that I can show him. He's a big mover and will likely make a Single Pleasure Driving horse!

For sale to show home - $1200

cisco.jpgBertrand's Cisco Kid

This beautiful AMHR black gelding has four white socks, a bald face, and a tiny little white spot under his belly. Before he was gelded, he sired several nice babies for me, including Rosie and Desi (shown above). He's going to start driving training soon and I think he'll make a great one!

For sale to show home - $1100

Picasso 4-20-08.jpgEstablo Picasso

I bought this beautiful ASPC/AMHR buckskin stallion from Jim Curry in California. I bred him to two mares in 2008 and got two beautiful fillies! One is a pale palomino and one is either a cremello or a perlino.

Picasso earned his Shetland Hall of Fame in Halter in 2009 and will soon be starting his driving training. I can't wait to show him in driving classes! Picasso is not for sale.

cameoforsite.jpgRosa Roca's Cameo

Cameo is one of my broodmares. This little splash overo mare is the dam of Rosie and Desi (above). She'll be bred to Picasso in 2010 and will hopefully throw me a beautiful pinto splash overo show filly!

Cameo is not for sale.

RH Golden Girl

This is one of those mares you don’t get the chance to buy very often   -  a consistent producer of quality foals. I bought her and then went back and bought three of her daughters! Terrible picture, but a nice mare. Goldie is getting up there in years but still produces nice babies. She has a permanent home here at Rosa Roca. She had a beautiful cremello or perlino filly in 2009 by Establo Picasso and will be bred back to him in 2010.

Shout N Bout Roses EDV

This well-bred silver bay ASPC Shetland mare is one of my favorites. She's trained to drive but has never been shown in driving. She was shown a little as a broodmare and ended up on the National All Stars that year! She had a beautiful light palomino filly by Establo Picasso in 2009 and will be rebred to him in 2010.

Not for sale at this time.

Xenaincap.JPGThis is Xena, my guard donkey, trying on a blue visor. She's a great girl and very protective of her little friends. I got her after nearly losing a horse to a dog attack. Now, if she even sees a dog other than mine, she first brays a loud warning then she herds her horses away to a safe spot. If that's not enough, she'll go after the dog and run him off. Before I got her, she even killed a dog that wouldn't leave the pasture.

I feel very safe with Xena protecting my Miniature Horses.
